Just another test comment. Someday someone actually will ready this. Amazing.

mm... lastest source () fail on my build (20010105). maybe I have to use newer build. But Amoeba is great. For Advance, I think amoeba need to have its own main story that unique and fun like Zelda or Final Fantasy. Cheer

sorry, lastest source is Jan05

Did you try using the .zip archive? I'm hoping to add an amoeba entry to the bugzilla system soon.

Yeah, the top zip file. I'm running 20010105 on Win98. I think I need to get the new one.

I just ran the latest zipped snapshot on 2001020504. The game demo ran fine, what exactly is breaking for you?

I'm not sure where you check up on messages anymore, so I'll start posting here. I'm going to start playing with tiling much more tonight. Hopefully I'll have something significant tomorrow. I need to find out how I can commit changes.

Great Needs music and animations.

Very nice. I'm involved in the Dusk project (dusk.wesowin.org) and several other RPG games -- all done in the traditional manner. Using mozilla as the platform rather than Java or cross-platform C++ libraries is a great idea. I'm going to be watching your project with interest. If you add animation and sounds your going to have a fantastic RPG system.

Cheers!

I did have animation but right now netscape's image lib sux with gif animations. Soon though!

And sounds are another story. Dont get me start on playing sounds! The whole UI freezes while the sound plays. Mozilla really need some sound support! Also here is the newsgroup:

I see what you mean with the old image lib. Now that imagelib2 is in the builds maybe it won't suck anymore.

I also see what you mean about sound. Somebody else mentioned sound is broken in Mozilla at the moment.

Keep up the good work! (and update the project page a little more often ;)

What a great idea! I'll definitely keep an eye on your project. Once I learn more XUL and js, I might even offer to help! (: Until then I'm still trying to get it working. (:

Keep up the good work!

Can you release a bêta (maybe alpha) version of Amoeba in XPI format so anybody that doesn't have CVS can test it?

l
we can't believe that there is no better spam protection at the notes-pages. you should give tools like a chance, otherwise you should not use url conversion any longer or you have to implement a redirect service that intercepts backlink inheritance.
